The Millard West Wildcats defeated Bellevue West 8-0 on Tuesday as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Matt Pleiss got Caleb Lemon to hit into a fielder’s choice to finish off the game.
Millard West secured the victory thanks to five runs in the third inning. The Wildcats big bats were led by Ryan David, Caleb Riedel, and Kyan Lodice, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Millard West got things moving in the first inning. Eric Standish drew a walk, scoring one run.
