Millard West JV defeated Ellhorn South #1 12-3 on Friday thanks to a timely seven runs in a big seventh inning. Conner F, Ty K, Ben V, Tanner K, Tyler M, and Cade O each had RBIs in the big inning.
In the first inning, Millard West JV got their offense started when Conner grounded out, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the first inning, Ellhorn South #1 tied things up at one. Sam H grounded out, scoring one run.
After Millard West JV scored one run in the top of the fifth, Ellhorn South #1 answered with one of their own. Millard West JV scored when Caden B’s sac fly scored one run for Millard West JV. Ellhorn South #1 then answered when Kael D’s wild pitch allowed one run to score for Ellhorn South #1.
Millard West JV pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Justin D singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Ben singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Tanner singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Millard West JV tallied seven runs in the seventh inning. Conner, Ty, Ben, Tanner, Tyler, and Cade all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Kael led things off on the hill for Millard West JV. He surrendered three runs on two hits over five and a third innings, striking out one.
Brendan P started the game for Ellhorn South #1. He allowed five hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three. Cade P and Jake C entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
