Creighton Prep fired up the offense in the second inning, when Caleb Riedel induced Lorenz to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored. Millard West Wildcats tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Millard West Wildcats big bats were led by Trey Wilbeck and Corbin Hawkins, all driving in runs in the inning. Creighton Prep evened things up at four in the bottom of the fifth inning when Witkowski singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
Corbin Hawkins earned the victory on the hill for Millard West Wildcats. He went four and a third innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out five and walking one. Preston Menicucci threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
