A walk-off error propelled the Millard West Wildcats to a decisive, dramatic victory over Millard North, 7-6. The game was tied at six with Millard West batting in the bottom of the ninth when an error scored one run for the Wildcats.
Millard West earned the victory despite allowing Millard North to score four runs in the sixth inning. Millard North’s big inning was driven by walks by Matt Goetzmann and Tommy Roland and a double by Ben Weber.
In the top of the seventh inning, Millard North tied things up at six when Goetzmann singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Millard West notched three runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by a single by Eric Standish and a double by Max Anderson.
Seth Claybourne was credited with the victory for the Wildcats. He lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Anderson and Jarod Kojdecki entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Riley Tesmer took the loss for Millard North. He lasted three innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one.

Tristan Gomes led the Wildcats with two hits in five at bats. Millard West didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Meier had the most chances in the field with ten.
