Meet Recap

Lady Wildcats finished state one spot higher than last year and 19 strokes better. The second day was not as stress free as we had hoped. Between 3rd place and 7th place there were only 10 strokes. Very close race. Brie Wakefield improved to a 91 on the second day followed by Shelby Bergholz with a 96. Izzi Puk had a 100, Brianne Krebs 101 and Hailey Reavis a 103. 4 of the 5 return to battle again for the state title. Want to thank Captain Krebs for 4 great years of work.

Game Recap

In the second game of the Prep Dig Midwest Face Off, the Wildcats battled the Bolts of Lincoln Pius X. The Cats got off to a very slow start giving up the first set to Pius 21-25. Things quickly turned around as the Wildcats came out fired up the second set, taking that one 25-11. The next two sets were battles back and forth, but the Cats stayed consistent throughout finishing with the win!
Defense was undoubtedly the winning factor for Millard West, who collaboratively put together nine blocks (Jada Key – 5, Ashley Bush – 3) and 100 digs (Jaiden Centeno – 33, Maggie Sempeck – 24, Kenzie Sempeck – 13). Sydney Daniels and Bree Green dished up 45 assists as Outside Hitters, Ashley Bush and Jordan McCormick combined for 25 kills.
