Millard West High School
Kearney High School
Millard West faced Kearney High in the second game of the Allison Weston tournament on Friday night. It was a tough first set for the Wildcats with two players going down, which called for a few players to step into bigger roles and for the whole to keep pushing forward despite the injuries. The Wildcats took the first set 25-21.
The second set was a little rocky with a few new rotations, and Kearney took advantage of that. They took the second set 25-21.
With the Wildcats not being satisfied with their second set performance, they started the third set strong and battled to finish it, 25-18.
This Wildcat win was led by the Middle Hitters, Jada Key, who hit a .500 with 3 blocks and Bailey Wilson, who hit .625 with 2 blocks.
